Information for authors
Please, prepare
the abstract and your paper very carefully. Abstracts will be
published in the Abstract proceedings. Attendees
will select presentations/sessions according to them. The
abstracts will be available on WEB pages before
the event.
Note that Full papers, Tutorial proposals, Communications
(extended abstracts) and posters should be in the GraVisMa format uploaded
before the deadlines.
Step 1 - paper registration and
submission
use: http://confreg.zcu.cz/GraVisMa/
- Register your personal data as
soon as possible - we will keep you updated with
information related to this event - note that your e-mail
address is used for communication - avoid
aliases etc.
- Register your paper, title, abstract (part of the
paper registration - plain ASCII TEXT, max 200 words.,
list ALL authors, their e-mails etc.) in advance.
Select the session
of your contribution properly.
- NOTE that Title of the paper, list
of authors, their e-mails and the abstract cannot
be changed/modified latter on.
- Authors are fully responsible for
correctness of the upload.
- Send the Copyright Transfer Form (CTF) to the
Conference office by an ordinary air-mail.
(not registered, no DHL etc.).
Upload the CTF to WEB server as well.
Step 2 - after contribution acceptance
- Paper acceptance is based on anonymous peer-to-peer
reviews. Reviewers usually requires some changes, corrections and additions
- please, respect their requirements and make the appropriate changes to
your paper.
- Upload your FINAL version
to the WEB server with the REBUTAL (comments how did you
react to the reviewers comments).
Please, use the REBUTAL form
template and submit it in the PDF format.
Step 3 - after the venue
Presented papers:
- will be published in the proceedings with ISBN and sent
for indexing by Thompson Reuters/ISI WoS and others.
- will be available on WEB - no access restriction to
enable wide dissemination and use

We do not support the TEX formats - please, see below
for some hints below, if you need to use the TEX
Please, note that a paper
without Copyright Transfer Form (CTF) filled in,
signed and delivered to the workshop office cannot be sent for
a review. CTF should be uploaded to the WEB server and sent by ordinary (unregistered) air/surface
mail to: UNION Agency, Na Mazinach 9, CZ 322 00 Plzen, Czech Republic.
The original CTF should be sent by unregistered air-mail and it
should be delivered before acceptance decision - we will notify
you, if the original CTF does not arrive by that time.
The
original CTF is needed for the legal purposes.
All papers are carefully
anonymously reviewed by members of the International Program
Committee and by the External Review Board members.
Accepted FULL
papers (limit 8 pages A4) will
be published in the Full paper proceedings with ISBN.
Presentation 15 mins + 5 mins. discussion.
Accepted COMMUNICATION
papers (limit 8 pages A4) will
be published in the Communication paper proceedings
with ISBN.
Presentation 10 mins.
Accepted POSTERS
- good papers not accepted as full or communication
papers (limit 4 pages A4) -
will be published in the Poster proceedings with ISBN.
Usually, posters describe on-going projects.
If you intend to submit a paper directly as a poster, the
title of the paper should begin with POSTER:

Proceedings are sent for indexing/abstracting to INSPEC, IEE, ISI,
AIMS, INIST and others for citations index and other purposes.
The submission
server can be slow last 2 weeks before the deadline.
Please, count with a slow upload.
Store your files at the server, download your files
back and check the correctness of the upload as soon as possible.
What you should consider before
uploading your paper
- Contributions are
reproduced directly from the electronic form using PDF
version 5 (NOT higher).
Therefore, it is necessary to keep the format guidelines
as much close as possible.
- Standard A4 format
is used - paper sheet 210x297 mm (8,27"x11,69")
- portrait style,
margins: left, top, right 25 mm (0,98") , bottom 35
mm (1,38") - PLEASE, CHECK MARGINES and PAGE SIZE
VERY CAREFULLY.
- The paper should be checked
by the Acrobat Reader EUROPEAN/UK version for version
5 - compatibility check- especially if you use Asian
or Arabic fonts etc.
- All the
fonts used must be included in the PDF file.
Set the density to 300 or 600 dpi in
the Acrobat Option!
- DO NOT LOCK the file for writing, we
need to include some text - page numbers etc.
- Please, consult SET_PDF_1.pdf for setting your PDF generator
- you can measure distances - use it, please.
- If you use MS WORD
- go to OPTIONS/GENERAL/ and
select measurement units - Millimeters
- go to FILE/PAGE SET UP/Paper
- select A4 and apply
to WHOLE DOCUMENT,
- go to FILE/PAGE SET UP/Margins
- select margins required and apply to
WHOLE DOCUMENT
- Submitted paper should not
exceed 2 MB. Use strictly .pdf
uncompressed.
Do not compress is it, please, the upload accepts only
PDF uncompressed.
- You can upload Additional
File-1 - it should be compressed by ZIP
- please, check that there is no virus!
- Upload CTF as Additional
File-2 in the PDF format.
- Do not upload "Extended
Abstract" style papers
- The paper should be carefully
prepared, formatted according to the
guidelines and checked by a native English speaker
if applicable.
- Both versions (affiliated
with names, institutions etc. and anonymous) of the paper
should be uploaded before deadline.
Anonymous version will be sent for reviews, affiliated
version is used checking technical issues that might
occur in proceedings preparation period, formatting etc. (there is a
short time to solve technical problems if occur)

Please, read the "How to generate
PDF" notes prepared by Petr Lobaz if you use TEX (click here). Please, modify the Copyright box according to the TEMPLATE
! (no ISBN, No ISSN etc.)
Feel free to use TEX template at http://web.informatik.uni-bonn.de/II/ag-klein/people/zach/latex/ - but no guarantee - please, change the copyright box).
Hints for the PDF users:
PLEASE CHECK THE PAGE SIZE and
MARGINES of your paper!
Please, check:
- Options: Page A4 - check in Settings
-> job options -> advanced ===> size 210 x 297
mm
- Document security ==> Security
method=No, Open password=No, Printing=allowed, Changing
documents=Allow, Selecting text=Allow, Adding&Changing=Allow
so NO RESTRICTIONS applied
- If you use LATEX etc. make sure that
true type fonts are included - instead of raster fonts
- When you check the final upload,
print your paper - in the printing menu DO NOT
ALLOW: Reverse pages, Print as image, Fit to
Page and Download (Asian/Arabic etc) Fonts (right button).
Make sure that all the used fonts are embedded with the
PDF file.
- Do not lock the document!
We will need to make small editorial text editing,
numbering etc.
- PDF ENGLISH version 5 compatibility
must be used
- Check PDF ENGLISH version 5
compatibility with Acrobat reader.
POSTERS
There is a poster session organized. Your poster
paper will appear at the Poster proceedings. For the presentation you are
required to prepare a poster and during the poster session you are expected to
explain your research results.
Poster presentation
format - 60 (width) x 90
(height) cm - PORTRAIT orientation and take it with you.
Do not use Landscape format 90 (width) x 60 (height) cm
